Fall is officially here. And more importantly October is here. What better way to start October than with an Oktoberfest celebration? Last weekend we decided that a nice family outing with our son would be to go to our local Oktoberfest and look at all of the booths, play games, and go on some of the little rides. Most may prefer the beer gardens to the craft booths, but being pregnant at this point in time, leaves that option off of the table. Besides, there are so many other family activities to do at an Oktoberfest other than drink beer and eat bratwurst.
My husband, baby and I packed up the stroller and headed out the door. We both decided that bratwurst and funnel cake did not sound too appealing so we decided to stop by a nearby Quiznos to get some sandwiches to go. As seen on HealthyDiningFinder.com the Turkey Bacon and Avocado subs were awesome and respectably low in fat and calories when you request the reduced-fat Ranch dressing. Anyways, the subs were delicious, easy to walk around with at Oktoberfest and did not wreak havoc on our waistlines or wallet. They also have Kid’s meals featuring kid-sized Subs or Sammies – a better alternative to the burger, fries and sodas. Next time you pack up for a local carnival, festival, zoo outing, etc, I highly recommend that you stop by one of HealthyDiningFinder’s convenience restaurants, such as Quiznos, for a healthy, family-friendly meal to-go.

We like Quizno’s sammys too. Great for kids!
